Munich police have opened an investigation into a man from Tyrol after video of an incident at Oktoberfest appeared online. The footage drew a wave of outrage that also spread to Austria.
The man then resigned as deputy local chairman of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) in his home municipality and left the party.
